Type of Golf Cart Rentals

Coastal Ed’s has been servicing Port Aransas with the best type of golf cart rentals since 2011. We were originally located on Allister next to the Boardhouse before Hurricane Harvey. In 2017 Hurricane Harvey damaged the building pretty severely. Clearly, we decided to move to our new location at 600 Cutoff Rd #7. It is a great shopping center with many great local businesses. 

We currently offer 3 type of golf cart rentals. We have 4 seaters, 6 seaters, and 8 seater carts. All of our carts come with Bluetooth stereo with speakers, windshields, seatbelts, LED headlights, rearview mirror, blinkers, knobby tires, and extended roofs to cover the rear seat. 

4-Passenger Golf Cart

The smallest type of golf cart rentals is the 4 passenger golf cart rental is perfect for a small family or for a couple’s beach retreat. It has 1 row facing forward and one row facing backward and has seat belts for 4 people. The backward-facing seat can flip out and turn into a tailgate to hold all your beach gear. If you have 4 people and would like to use the tailgate feature I would suggest upgrading to a 6-passenger cart. “I personally have a small family of 3 and I prefer to use the 6-passenger cart so we aren’t cramped with all the beach gear. It also leaves plenty of room for the doggo too!! “ – Jennifer 

6-Passenger Golf Cart

The most commonly uses type of golf cart rentals is the 6-passenger golf cart rental is perfect for family and friends’ beach trips for up to 6 people. A 6-passenger golf cart has 2 rows facing forward and one row facing backward and has seat belts for 6 people. If you have 6 persons and would like to use the tailgate feature I would suggest upgrading to an 8-passenger cart.

8-Passenger Golf Cart

An 8-passenger golf cart rental aka the Limo is perfect type of golf cart rentals for large families and friends and can seat up to 8 people. An 8-passenger golf cart has 3 rows facing forward and one row facing backward and has seat belts for 8 people. The rear-facing seat can also flip out as a tailgate. 

How many days should I book?

Here at Coastal Ed’s Coastal Carts, we rent our carts by the day. This means a 24-hour period. If it is booked for a 9 am pick up then it is due back at 9 am on the scheduled return date. 

Here are some common booking examples: 

11 am Thursday morning to 11 am Sunday morning = 3-day rental 

9 am Friday morning to 9 am Sunday morning = 2-day rental 

12 pm Thursday morning to 12 pm Monday morning = 4-day rental 

We also have a key drop box next to the office door for easy returns. You can even return you golf cart rental after hours. If your cart is due back first thing in the morning many people will go ahead and return the cart the night before for an easier morning. 

Also, all of the carts are given to the customer with a full tank of gas. We do require customers to return the carts with a full tank. Pro Tip: Fill your tank up the night before when the gas stations aren’t as busy. Most everyone has a check-out time of 11 am and the gas stations get pretty congested during peak checkout times.

Here are 4 easy steps to booking your specific type of golf cart rentals online. 

Step 1: First, go to www.CoastalEds.com. Be sure to take a look around the site. We have lots of information about our golf cart rentals and some of our favorite places in Port Aransas. 

Step 2: Second, click the Book Now button. This will give you a pop-up from our reservation system. It will show the different sizes of carts available. Select the right-sized cart for you whether it is a 4-passenger, 6-passenger, or 8-passenger golf cart.

Step 3: Third, Once you have selected the size of cart you would like to cruise around on, check the real-time availability calendar for the dates of your beach trip. Choose your arrival day. Then select your estimated arrival time. Finally, choose how many days you would like to keep your beach ride. Note: Please call for a same-day reservation.
